Filmmaker & Music Industry Veteran Roy Turner was first infused with the Purple Funk in 1982 with the often “borrowed” copy of his sister’s vinyl 1999 LP. A collector by nature, he became a major player on the Prince tape trading scene throughout the ’90s & beyond. Transitioning into something of a historian of His Royal Badness through his weekly award-winning podcast Trickykid Radio to spread the gospel, hosting an array of alumni: Wendy & Lisa, Morris Day, Sheila E, Ingrid Chavez & many more.
